Celebrating weddings, engagements and renewal of vows throughout Quebec

Civil wedding

A wedding is one of the most important events in life, not only for the couple, but also for their relatives and friends.  As a non-denominational institution, our wedding officiants welcome everyone, regardless of religion, or culture. We also welcome members of the LBGTQ community to celebrate their love with us. Our team is based all over the province, allowing us to formalize your union anywhere in Quebec.

We also offer our services for spiritual wedding ceremonies and vow renewals.

The civil marriage officiant

Our civil marriage officiant escorts couples in the most important stages of their life together. Le Nouveau Penser is a secular institution opened to everyone.  Therefore, our celebrants will officiate at will, whatever your religion, or culture.

We also welcome with open arms same-sex LGBTQ members wishing to legally dedicate their love to each other.

Obviously, couples look for a ceremony that illustrates the importance of that day as a moment to remember. Whether this be your first union, or not, whether you and your partner are of different religious beliefs or are of same sex, Le Nouveau Penser allows you to personalize your celebration, both legally, and up to your standards.

Your officiant will give you great flexibility in formulating your ceremonial, while respecting the date, time and place of your choosing.  Together with you, the officiant will compose the ceremony of your dreams, and which is recognized by the Quebec government.

We handle all  legal aspects, as well as the registration of your marriage with by the Directeur de l’État Civil.

Spiritual Marriage

The spiritual wedding ceremony is similar to that of the legal marriage ceremony, minus the reading of laws and legal documents.

Although witnesses are not required with this type of ceremony, you have the option of choosing two people to act as your witnesses, to further formalize the ceremony.

We invite you to consult our Frequently Asked Questions page on the spiritual marriage or to contact us directly at 514 254-2951 or via our contact page.

Vow renewal

The vow renewal ceremony allows spouses to relive the beautiful moments of their original commitment, in the presence of their family and friends. Since the couple is already married, we offer the same ceremony as for the civil marriage, but without the legal texts.

Although witnesses are not required for this type of wedding, you have the option of choosing two people to act as witnesses, thus further formalizing the ceremony.

We invite you to consult our Frequently Asked Questions page on the renewal of vows or to contact us directly at 514 254-2951 or via our contact page.
